June 2018 - Parade of Parrots

By: Linda Posner, Saturday June 30, 2018

Our season finale wrap up meeting in June was very successful. The Parade of Parrots demonstrated many different varities of birds.

We had 20 presenters (family members counting as singles), presenting 19 birds in total.

Representatives from the bird world included an eclectus, a lovebird, 3 quakers (blue and green) 2 cockatiels, a macaw, 2 cockatoos (triton and rose breasted), 2 amazons (blue front and double yellow head), 2 conures (sun and painted), a lorikeet, a brown headed parrot, an alexandrine and 2 african greys.

Many memberships were paid for the season of 2018-19. Congratulations to Ann Marie, Kevin and Laura who won the draw for a free membership.

Thank you, everyone for participating in this fun and educational event.

The first meeting of the 2018-19 season will be on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Richmond Hill.

The York Region Parrot Club wishes you all and happy and healthy summer.

See you in September.
