Our November Open House

By: Linda P., Tuesday November 16, 2010

We had our annual open house in November. It was great to see all members and prospective members and observers come out to enjoy the evening. Many of our club members braved the rainy, cold night to bring their feathered friends for all to meet.

The kiddies loved holding Emma while their parents learned about birds. We talked about our birds and answered questions. Faye and Janet told us about the parrot conference in Guelph. Dee performed his much needed service of bird grooming.

We are in the midst of a silent auction for a beautiful Hagen bird cage. The auction will run until January. Our buffet snack table for a looney had a great selection of goodies. We had many great items on our raffle table. Our library table was full of books.

A photographer from the Liberal newspaper attended our event.
