March 2010 Toy Making Night

By: Linda P., Tuesday March 16, 2010

The beads, the lego, the coin wrappers, the balls, the wood, the ropes, the stuffings were all flying at our Toy Making Night in March. Hands were busy making toys and birds were busy inspecting toys. Steve and Jo-Anne demonstrated 2 types of toys that could be made. The supplies were pre packaged and everyone received a bag, either for a small or for a large bird.It was great to see so many creative toys , including many foraging toys loaded with treats for our feathered friends.

Our St. Patrick’s day theme was remembered by many people wearing green. Loved Jo-Anne’s green glasses and loved Gail with her green hair. Even our mascot wore a green bow tie. We even had a green candy guess. Our winners for the most green were Melissa, Raphael and Gail. We had our usual wonderful raffle table and we had a special raffle as well. A wonderful stand by Stands by Nature will be donated to the winner of the special raffle. Our toonie buffet was delicious with a huge choice of food. Thanks to all participants.
